BIO

|
Ed Hastings is a software developer with over 10 years of experience
in both software design and programming with an emphasis on
database driven web facing applications.
|
|
At Watson Wyatt Ed has worked on health and welfare support
as Tech Lead for the Apple Inc. project and the ESS implementation
for Sun Microsystems. Ed was also heavily involved in the core
technology of the Evaluate Channel of Benefit Connect and did
numerous implementations of that product.
|
|
In addition to client health & welfare work, Ed also contributed
to internal applications development. He made numerous enhancements
to the Issue Tracking System (ITS) used by many Watson Wyatt
project teams to manage workflow, and also designed a sophisticated
SQL-SMO based xml-configured data scripting engine to enable
filtered refresh scripting between production and test environments.

Prior to joining Watson Wyatt in 2005, Ed worked at several
other companies developing software for things as varied as
predictive payroll budgeting, web based geo-locatable national
environmental risk assessments and site surveys, and plan design
/ building permit / case enforcement software for municipalities
as well as various smaller scale applications.
|
|
Before becoming a software developer Ed was an Intelligence
Specialist in the United States Marine Corps for five years,
holding a TS/SCI clearance. He was awarded the Navy & Marine
Corps Achievement, and the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation
Medal.
